Avoma and Sales Copilot by Cluely AI both help on sales calls, but they are built around different jobs. Avoma describes itself as an all-in-one AI meeting assistant, conversation and revenue intelligence platform: it records meetings, writes notes, scores calls, updates the CRM and forecasts, and adds answer cards during calls. Sales Copilot is built for the live conversation: it puts one answer on your screen as soon as the buyer asks a question, without a meeting bot. This page compares the two from Avoma's own public pages, checked on November 4, 2026.
The short version
Choose Avoma if you want one platform for meeting notes, recordings, call scoring, coaching, CRM updates, forecasting and scheduling, with answer cards your admins set up for live calls. Choose Sales Copilot if the priority is the rep's next answer on a live call, drawn from your own Prospect brief, materials and Playbook, with no meeting bot and no recordings kept.

How Avoma works
Avoma describes itself as an all-in-one AI meeting assistant, conversation and revenue intelligence platform. Its AI meeting assistant auto-records video and audio across conferencing tools, produces real-time, speaker-identified transcripts and AI notes, and pushes meeting data to your CRM. Conversation intelligence adds call scoring against your playbook and AI coaching; revenue intelligence adds deal risk alerts, pipeline review, win-loss analysis and forecasting. A scheduler and lead router book meetings with buyers.
To record, the Avoma Assistant joins the meeting as a participant using the join link in the calendar invite, on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other conferencing systems. For meetings you host in Zoom or Webex, Avoma can instead take the platform's cloud recording, so no extra participant appears. Before a customer meeting, the AI meeting assistant can prepare a brief from the calendar event, previous meetings, CRM records, emails and relevant web information.
During calls, Avoma describes real-time sales guidance: it detects trigger phrases, buyer signals and objections and shows the matching answer card on screen. Admins create the cards with trigger phrases, approved responses and battlecard content; each card stays visible for 20 seconds and remains in a drawer for the rest of the call. Ask Avoma lets reps pull CRM data, deal context, past meeting notes or product details during a live call, and Avoma says this works across video calls, phone calls and in-person meetings.
How Sales Copilot works
Before a call, you set up a Prospect: a brief, materials from your Library and a Playbook for the conversation. You can rehearse with an AI buyer that uses the same context and replies in text while you answer aloud.
During the live call, Sales Copilot listens and, as soon as the buyer asks a question, shows one focus card: what they asked, a line to say (the cockpit labels it Say), up to two supporting points and, when it helps, a question to ask back (Ask). The answer is written for the question just asked, from the conversation, your Prospect brief, your Library and your Playbook, rather than chosen from cards set up in advance. You read it and say it your way. There is no live transcript on screen; the transcript is in the Debrief.
After the call, the Debrief ties its feedback to evidence in the transcript, alongside the Account Action Plan. Sales Copilot does not take meeting notes for the whole team, write to your CRM, schedule meetings or forecast. If you need those, Avoma covers them.
Capture without a meeting bot
Avoma records the meeting, either through its assistant in the participant list or through the cloud recording of a meeting you host in Zoom or Webex. The recording feeds its transcripts, notes and analysis.
Sales Copilot has no meeting bot. It runs in your browser, where live calls need Chrome or Edge on a computer and you share the meeting's tab, or as a desktop app for Mac and Windows that hears your microphone and your computer's call audio without sharing a tab. It works with calls in Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and other meeting apps through that audio; it is not a native integration with any of them.
Live audio is sent for speech recognition to produce text. Raw audio, recordings, screenshots and screen video are not stored; transcripts, Debriefs and derived memory are. With either tool, notice and consent are the responsibility of the rep and their organisation. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Pricing
Avoma publishes its prices. Its Startup, Organization and Enterprise plans are priced per recorder seat per month, billed monthly or annually (Enterprise annually only), and viewers and collaborators are free. Conversation intelligence, which includes the real-time answer assistant, revenue intelligence and the lead router are add-ons priced per seat. Avoma offers a 14-day free trial of its Organization plan with all add-ons enabled.
Sales Copilot publishes its Pro and Team prices on the pricing page. Pro covers one person's Personal workspace; Team is priced per seat with a two-seat minimum. There is no free trial; refund requests are accepted within 14 days.
Questions to settle before you choose
Name the problem first. If the gap is organised call records, notes, CRM updates and manager-led coaching across the team, an all-in-one platform addresses it. If reps prepare well but struggle to answer hard questions in the moment, the deciding factor is the help they get on the live call and where its answers come from.
- Do you need recordings and collaborative notes kept for the whole team?
- Is an assistant joining customer meetings acceptable to your buyers?
- Should live answers come from cards your admins write in advance, or be written for the question asked, from your own materials?
- Do you need CRM updates, scheduling and forecasting in the same tool?
- Would practising with an AI buyer before the call help your reps?
Frequently asked questions
Is Avoma a Gong alternative?
Avoma and Gong both record and analyse customer calls, and both describe coaching and forecasting products on their own pages. Sales Copilot is a different kind of tool: no meeting bot, no recordings stored and one focus card for the rep during the call. See Sales Copilot vs Gong for that comparison.
Can Avoma help me during a live call?
Yes. Avoma describes live transcripts, answer cards that appear on screen when a trigger phrase or objection is detected, and Ask Avoma for pulling CRM data, deal context, past notes or product details during the call. Admins set up the answer cards in advance. Sales Copilot writes an answer for the question just asked, from your Prospect brief, materials and Playbook.
Does Sales Copilot produce meeting notes?
Not in the way a meeting assistant does. After each call, the Debrief ties its feedback to evidence in the transcript, alongside the Account Action Plan. If your team needs collaborative meeting notes and a searchable archive of recordings, Avoma is built for that.
How do the two approach coaching?
Avoma scores calls against your playbook and supports manager-led coaching from recorded calls. Sales Copilot supports the rep before and after the call: Rehearse lets you practise against an AI buyer using the same Prospect, materials and Playbook, and the Debrief points to evidence in the transcript.
How does pricing compare?
Both publish prices. Avoma charges per recorder seat per month, with add-ons per seat, free viewers and a 14-day free trial. Sales Copilot has Pro for one person and Team per seat with a two-seat minimum, and no free trial. See the pricing page for current Sales Copilot prices and Avoma's pricing page for theirs.
